Research Sources

The categories of evidence behind everything we publish and supply.

Last updated: July 2026

The sources we rely on

Our content and product documentation draw on several distinct source types. We weight primary, peer-reviewed and regulatory sources most heavily, and are explicit when evidence is early or preliminary.

Peer-reviewed journals

Primary research and reviews from indexed publications such as NEJM, The Lancet, Cell Metabolism and Nature Medicine.

Clinical trial registries

Trial designs, endpoints and status pulled directly from ClinicalTrials.gov and equivalent national registries.

Regulatory documents

Public filings and guidance from the FDA, EMA and MHRA that establish a compound's approval status.

Analytical certificates

Third-party HPLC and mass-spectrometry certificates of analysis for the specific batches we supply.

Reference pharmacology

Established textbooks and monographs used to describe receptor mechanisms and structure.

Expert review

Qualified scientific reviewers who validate accuracy and framing before publication.
